HPC200 - Course Objectives Cluster computing is the technique of linking two or more computers into a network (usually through a local area network) in order to take advantage of the parallel processing power of those computers. In this course students will use OSCAR (Open Source Cluster Application Resource) software which offers high-performance super-computing power at a very affordable price. It enables virtually any person with minimal computer skills to transform several standard computers into a virtual super-computer. It merits a distinction of being one of the best open source HPC cluster that can be deployed easily using Linux powered PCs. The primary purpose of the cluster is to learn parallel computation and its applications e.g., number crunching in cryptography or research in genetic and medical engineering. On the enterprise business side, you use Linux clusters can be your company's best bet for handling storage, applications, high-volume transactions and more. Oscar Cluster is a HPC cluster initially consisting of 2 nodes but is easily scalable depending on the computing needs. HPC102 - Course Description: Increase your competitive advantage by maximizing your skills and ability to implement and run XenServer 5.6.The Citrix XenServer course covers information administrators need to successfully deploy and manage the XenServer client. The course covers information needed to successfully deploy and manage XenServer 5.6 and the XenCenter management client. It’s fully hands-on labs where students install and configure a virtualization server and then connect to the server with XenCenter. Students can then create a mix of Windows and Linux virtual machines. Here, you’ll learn how to install and configure Linux CentOS5 server VM. They can proceed to the follow-up course where they’ll learn how to create a XenServer resource pool and connect to remote storage. The Aspen energy forum 1977, whose theme was "Solar Architecture”, emphasized passive solar design and its great contribution in the area of energy conservation in buildings.Hence, one of the physical designer's main tasks is to create an environment inside the building, which is appropriate for all the human activities likely to take place there. The occupants' biological, emotional and physical characteristics also come into play. It is, therefore, of great importance to consider the response of the user's physiological make-up in relation to the environmental conditions it is exposed to. The body as a self-regulating system prefers to relate harmoniously with the climatic conditions and the environment around it. To-date we done studies covering tropical and Mediterranean climates and looking forward to get funding to pursuer studies energy-climate and built environment architrave in Canada.
